Surface finishing of components

Perfectly made components need perfectly finished surfaces. This may be to provide protection, ensure an appealing appearance and / or tactile effect but also to provide information.

A particularly sensitive area of finishing is giving plastic components a metallic finish. Known techniques include electrocoating and hot-stamping. These finishes simulate the high-grade appearance of metal boost the customer's perception of value in the same way as real metal.
